What the caterpillar perceives is the end ...
I wanted to be a cop.
I can't recall a time when I wanted anything different. I played more with the boys than with the other girls as a child, because their world involved plastic guns, dares and sports. And I thought dolls were creepy. How much tomboy can you get?
My father had a gambling problem and was incapable of keeping a steady job; my mother's employment did not pay enough to support us all sufficiency. I was prioritized, but there was only so and so much my mother could afford to help me with. My mother's encouragements helped. She urged me to work for what I wanted out of life, and instilled in me the knowledge that everything worthwhile never came easy.
I reached college on a scholarship. To me, it proved my mother right. I took sidejobs to help fund my own future education, and I did eventually wind up in the police department. I worked my way to homicide, which was the culmination of my childhood hopes and dreams, but by then it was no longer enough.
I entered FBI training. I prioritized my career above all other, forfeiting long-lasting relationships and children, white picket fences and pets. I was at my happiest; I had purpose. I had moments of doubt and regret, but my pride in myself always washed them away like the tide remaking the beautiful sandy beach.
I didn't want a faery tale life as a child, but the monsters from the faery tales came and took me anyway.
.. to the butterfly is just the beginning
I have no idea what I am anymore. I perceived myself as a soldier, then I became an elegant monster. I hated and feared my Sire for most of my existance after my Embrace, but I have learned since then.
I have made friendships and lost friendships, fallen in love, been betrayed, brushed Final Death more than once. I have been or am still Deputy, Primogen and Seneschal.
I love this city. It is my home, the only one I have. I am not leaving.
But this is a children's pool, in the end.
What will happen when the Elders take an interest in this city?

Delilah Ackart Brujah Primogen I'm not sure what we have, but I treasure it deeply. Don't stop making a difference, Delilah. You shine brightest when you do.
Exie Esposito Brujah I think perhaps we can be friends with time. For now, I have to keep it to business.
Skyler Pecknold Caitiff I have no personal problem with you. I believe that personal character is what you should be judged upon. I suppose that I will have to get to know you.
Isaac Gaster Gangrel I cannot keep from wondering, if our places had been shifted, would you have done as I did?
Josiah Blaisdell Gangrel I wonder how much you've changed. I hope you're still the good man I remember. Welcome back.
Sun Gangrel I never got to really know you the first time around. I hope I will have opportunity to fix that. Welcome back.
Ciel Legame Malkvian Curiously pleasant to know. I know what it means to carry the burden of your Clan all alone - and you are doing that very well.
Atticus Heart Toreador We are going to get better acquainted one of these nights ... I still smile thinking of how we met.
Siobhan Quinn Toreador I hope eventually you can forgive me. You picked the path, however; I simply followed it.

Past Lessons Of Life
Alexis Cohen Brujah I don't know which of us manipulated the other the most, but at the end of everything, you were a good friend. I am so sorry. I thought I had succeeded in making everything alright. I was wrong.
Allen Ward Ventrue Perhaps one of the most profound encounter of my life. One of the most annoying, too. They say that it's easy to go from love to hatred, but how does events take you from hatred to affection ...? I miss you, and I will keep my promise.
Catherine Gregory I miss you so much, my dearest friend. Your return cannot come soon enough. And if you do not return, I will find you eventully.
Eugen Leonte I could never relax fully with you, much as I tried. But you struck a chord, deep inside me. Someday I hope you will return.
Genevieve Gautier You taught me what love means. My deepest regret is that I was never able to show you how much I love you. Someday I will find you and do so.
Georgie Chimere Another lesson - yours, of how appearances can be deceiving, and one never know as much as the person thinks. One of my lingering regrets is that we didn't speak last time you were here. It will be changed next time you are. I miss you.
Jian Hui Why? Why ...? I could ask the question ad infinitum. I have no answers. No understanding. Only pain and confusion.
Phillip Eden You treated your Domain poorly. I hope I never see you again.
