"And we're coming to you live from All-Star-Poker.com in Las Vegas where Chloe "Kiddo" Hart has just won her first ever World Series tournament! Oh, oh there she is now!"
Chloe came from the red carpet, a huge smile on her face waving at the cameramen, not at all deterred by the flash from the digital photographers. She seemed to be basking in this limelight. "Hello, Ms. Lotti!" She could not believe it, still waving at the cameras.
The reporter tried to hard to get her attention, waving the microphone in front of her face. "Ms. Hart, Ms. Hart, KIDDO!"
"Yes!" She turned when she heard her nick name, towards the reporter. "I'm sorry, this is just so <BEEP> unbelievable! I cannot believe I have just won!" She gave a loud shriek and a Woo! towards the hooting crowd. Someone shouted "Kiddo, marry me!" from the crowd and Chloe responded with a giggling, "How much money do you have?"
"Ms. Hart! We understand you've been coached on the streets and the underground as well, how did that prepare you for the tournament tonight?"
Chloe turned her head towards the reporter then, the smile vanished almost immediately from her face. She glared at the reporter, shoving the camera out of her face. She snatched the microphone away from the woman and threw it at the crowd. She bent to the woman's ear and whispered, "You mention that again and I will kill you." With a sinister smile after she waved at the crowd again and left the scene in a waiting limo.
"You don't look very happy, for someone who had just won her first tourny."
Chloe turned to the sound of the voice before looking out the heavily tinted window, "Some reporter bitch spoiled the whole thing."
Her sire leaned forward then, from his seat, fingers lacing together. "You've got to ask yourself. Whatever she said, is that going to stop you from your cause?"
"No, but --"
"Then it doesn't matter, does it?" He smiled at her, tapping the glass window to signal the driver to drive away. "The questions will keep coming, becoming more and more personal. You'd have to deal with it. That is the price of fame."
"Stop being so goddamn right all the time.." She said with a grin on her face. "I know, it has to be done. I am still learning, Ted."
"And you have a lot to learn, Kiddo. A lot more to learn." He leaned back against his seat as the driver started to pull off the curb. "Take a shower, you freaking stink."
Chloe smirked, "I'll take a shower when I want to. And I do want to. Been in there for 12 hours. But I do it because I want to, not because you told me to."
Ted lifted his hands up, the look on his face said he was loving every second of her stubborn personality. "A lot to learn."
